Community Service

At BIOCIUS we take pride in our activities both in the scientific community and in our local community. We work together with scientists and clients, collaborating to advance drug discovery. BIOCIUS employees frequently donate their time and effort, volunteering and speaking to students and prospective scientists at local universities and high schools. Past community-based projects include holiday toy drives, food drives, charity runs and walks.

Current Projects

Holiday 2009: We had a blast shopping for gifts for our "adopted" family this year. Interfaith Social Services, Quincy, MA, provides parents with assistance for the holidays. They matched us with a family headed by a single mom and we bought gifts for her three children, who would otherwise go without. Visit our blog for more details and to see pictures.

Fall 2009: BIOCIUS employees held a food drive to benefit the Council of Social Concern located in Woburn, MA. This agency runs a food pantry, provides parenting training programs, and offers a childcare center to those in need of assistance in our local community.
