BioTrove, Synchron Team Up for European Customer Solutions

RapidFire Distribution Agreement Expands Technology Access for European Customers

Woburn, MA and Breda, The Netherlands, May 6, 2008 - BioTrove Inc. and Synchron Lab Automation today announced a distribution agreement for the BioTrove RapidFire Services Portfolio in Europe. Under the agreement, Synchron will provide European customers with access to RapidFire Services - including Lead Discovery and Lead Optimization Services - to complement their portfolio of laboratory automation systems.

With a focus on the life sciences market, Netherlands-based Synchron Lab Automation develops custom-made laboratory automation solutions, specializing in liquid handling and integration. The BioTrove RapidFire Services Portfolio provides customers with analysis and custom assay creation solutions to support drug discovery research conducted with Synchron automated laboratory solutions.

Synchron sales efforts will focus on western and northern Europe. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
